High Wycombe

In March 2008, a new development in the town centre was completed. This included the demolition and relocation of the bus station. The main feature of the development was the brand new Eden Shopping Centre, with 107 shops, new restaurants, a large bowling alley and cinema and new housing. The old Octagon shopping centre was connected to the new development. The complex is seen an a major milestone in the regeneration of the town, and is one of the largest in the country.

Eden, High Wycombe

The Local Newspaper The Bucks Free Press has received many complaints about the design of the shopping centre, especially the fact that there is not a proper roof, resulting the centre being compared to a 'wind tunnel'.[18] This is disputable, as the designers had to work their way around the existing Tescos. However general response to the centre is positive.[19] with the centre remaining very busy as of June 2009.

RAF Daws Hill

RAF Daws Hill is a Royal Air Force base on the outskirts of High Wycombe, in Buckinghamshire, England; it is on the road towards Flackwell Heath, off the A404 road and adjacent to the M40 motorway. (RAF is pronounced as separate letters.)

Slough

Slough (pronounced /Ë?slaÊ?/ (listen), rhymes with 'cow'), situated 19 miles (31 km) west of Charing Cross, is a borough and unitary authority within the ceremonial county of Berkshire, England. At the time of the 2001 census, the population of Slough was 119,070 (est. 122,000 in 2006) and the borough area was the most ethnically diverse local authority area outside London in the United Kingdom.[1]

St Thomas More RC

The current headteacher is Jonathan Parkinson, who took over after Michael Zarraga OBE retired in 2005. Its motto is "regis servus dei prius" which translates as, "I am the King's good servant, but God's first". This is a reference to St Thomas More, and his refusal to recognise Henry VIII as the Supreme Head of the Church following the King's split from the Vatican and Catholicism.
